22,000 words in. Just finished Chapter 7, and chronologically, Day 1 in the novel. Thank fuck. Eli and Lilys’ arrangement is supposed to last three weeks, so I better move the plot along or this book is going to start looking like a George R.R. Martin novel.
Problem is Day 2 is Christmas. How can I skip over that? Skipping Christmas is wrong. Just ask the Cranks how well that turned out.
