Just finished Chapter 15 which introduces Eli’s father, Scooter Park.
Usually when I come up with a character, they spring 100% out of my own brain. But occasionally, I’ll take inspiration from an actual person.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been watching actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan on Friday Night In With The Morgans, and this dude cracks me up. He is one of those people wo always seems to be on the verge of laughing, and he has this wonderful physical quirkiness and charm about him.
So yeah, Scooter ended up with a heavy dose of JDM, which made for a pretty funny moment in the chapter.
Hint: The moment also introduces one of my cat characters. (Gotta have at least one in every book. At this point, my husband insists on it ?.)
