Woo-hoo! After finishing Chapter 20, I’m at 60K words, halfway through the manuscript, and I’ve drafted everything I had written chapter summary cards for. The chapter summary cards are really my rudimentary way of outlining or storyboarding as I go since I am very much a “pantser.” (See my May 19 post for a sample.)
So, next week I will start fresh by creating a new set of summary cards for the next several chapters. I’m really exciting to dig into the back half of this book. I definitely know what will be on the docket for Chapter 21 (sexy shenanigans on a bar top if I can swing it) but beyond that I have another cat character to introduce, a blackmail subplot to get to, a ghost from the past to reveal, and of course, more sexy shenanigans between my two leads to cook up ?.
