Just finished Chapter 22, at 53,500 words, and my lovely little meter on Scrivener has turned yellow. Half-way to green and picking up steam. Latest chapter has me thinking I need to revisit some of the classic gothic romances. I can’t reference them in my book without being totally up to speed.
Note to self: Reread Jane Eyre before picking up another Natasha Knight. Fruits and veggies before dessert, Dots.
Random thought: Weird coincidence that my girl and Bronte’s share the same name. I’m gonna have to do some kind of character comparison. Right now, I’m thinking they don’t have much else in common, but after a reread maybe I’ll find out some other interesting parallels.
